We don’t make miracles happen, but what we do makes a difference!

We need your support to prevent state crimes from being forgotten, memorialize the victims, and pursue accountability. This holiday season, please consider donating so that we can continue to make an impact.

Hear directly from the victims and witnesses we have worked with, who have already benefited from your support for Abdorrahman Boroumand Center for Human Rights in Iran.

Eye witnesses we actively looked for and interviewed:

  • A physician who fled Iran after the Women, Life, Freedom Protest because he was secretly treating injured protesters.

“My experience of working with the Abdorrahman Boroumand Center has been a reassuring experience. I certainly recommend working with the Center because of their respect for victim’s rights, the lack of stress or a feeling of insecurity, and also the professionalism with which they prepared the case in order to defend victims’ rights and not just use my statement for media work or [claiming credit for] a news case.”

  • A young woman who participated in the Women, Life, Freedom Protest in Sanandaj, where she witnessed the close range killing of a protester and lost her uncle to a bullet wound.

“I am very happy with the experience of this work because I felt immense empathy during the interview and I am more hopeful looking towards the future. It definitely raised the spirit of the grieving families.”

Friends and family members who found the profile of a loved one on the Omid Memorial by searching their name on Google:

  • A man whose friend was executed in the 1988 prison massacre.

“Without a doubt, the Boroumand Foundation is more trustworthy for the simple reason that it doesn't act to benefit a specific political group! A simple example is my friend's case. A good while after his execution in 1988, I saw his name in a political group's list to which he did not belong. I sent them an email and asked for a correction to no avail. The performance of the Center, in this caravansary where there is no rhyme and reason for anything, is much appreciated. Thank you for all that you do.”

  • A granddaughter, relieved that somewhere, someone remembers her grandfather.

“Hello. I just wanted to thank you for creating this foundation and a space where the name of my grandfather is remembered. They killed him with cruelty and accused him of crimes he had not committed.”
