The map below represents violations of the right to life in Iran since the year 2000 documented by Abdorrahman Boroumand Center and compiled in Omid, a memorial in defense of human rights. For more on ABC’s work in researching and documentation see our Omid methodology section. This map is incomplete and does not reflect the total actual number of such violations, as ABC researchers continuously update Omid with both contemporary and archival reports. Executions may be filtered on the basis of time frame (start year to end year,) charge, sex, and age at time of offense (minor or 18+.) Red circles indicate a group of executions which, upon zooming, will resolve to precise locations indicated by red person-shaped icons.
