About this Case

Mr. Hushang Farahani was among the eight individuals shot to death by the Revolutionary Guards (Pasdaran) of Tabriz. Based on the account given by the Revolutionary Guards headquarters of Tabriz to the correspondent of the Jomhuri Eslami daily (July 3, 1980), Mr. Farahani and seven others attempted to escape when they were being driven from the Special Islamic Revolutionary Tribunal for Drugs and Narcotics to their execution site in Khoy Prison. Five of the convicts were shot to death on the spot by Revolutionary Guards, and the remaining three were shot at the execution site.
