About this Case

News of the execution of Mr. Morteza Khalesi, son of Mohammad, along with another person, was published in the Jomhuri-Eslami newspaper on December 24 and 28, 2002 and in the Kayhan newspaper on January 1, 2003. His case was related to the kidnapping and rape of a girl in Semnan.    

Arrest and Detention

Mr. Khalesi was arrested by police shortly after a woman passenger had been kidnapped and raped by two fellow-passengers of a private taxi in Semnan on April 3, 2002. There is no specific information on his arrest and detention.


Branch Two of the Semnan Public Courthouse tried Mr. Khalesi. No information is available on his trial.  


According to the Public Relations Office of the Semnan Courthouse, the charges against Mr. Khalesi were announced as "kidnapping and rape."
