According to the Jomhouri Eslami report, Mr. Qobadi was charged with “active participation in the August 19 [1953] Coup, suppression of revolutionaries, leading pro-Shah demonstrations, mobilizing Qarikola and Ahangarkola mobs to crush the demonstration of Muslims during the Revolution, cooperation with Major Nurani, the deputy of SAVAK in Qom during the Revolution, establishing a committee to fight the Islamic Republic of Iran and holding meetings for this purpose every Monday, assault and battery, being accessory to murder, murder, sale and use of opium.” According to Kayhan , however, Mr. Qobadi and three other individuals were charged with “active involvement in clashes of American grouplets, leading the People’s Hypocrites [Organization] in this town [Qa’em Shahr], disarming the Revolutionary Guards, assault and battery, and involvement in the May 4 [1981] clashes in this town [Qa’em Shahr].] .
