About this Case

The execution of Ms. Zakieh Mohades, along with 18 others, was announced in a communiqué from the public relations officer of the Central Headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps and the Chief Publc Prosecutor of the Islamic Revolution. The communiqué was published in the Jomhuri Eslami Daily on May 5,1982.

Part of the official communique reads as follows:

"In the Name of the Destroyer of the Oppressors

With Salutes to the warriors of Islam who fight with blasphemy, the army that selflessly combats the manifestations of blasphemy and corruption in the war fronts, seeking the path of liberation of the beloved Qods [Jeruslum]. The Ummah [community] of Hizbollah [Party of God] following the announcement #1 of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, published on Ordibehesht, 12th [May 2] struck severe blows against the world oppressors and their mercenaries and agents of Imperialism and Zionism such as Banisadr, Rajavi and Qasemlu –the agents of Imperialism and Zionism- filling them with despair and anguish. We hereby inform you of another severe blow by the guardians of the Islamic Revolution over the reactionary, terrorist organization of the hypocrites."

She was also charged with “intending to bomb public places, using a considerable number of bombs, hand grenades, and explosives to cause terror in the detested monarchists’ fashion.”
