Oath of Judges of the Iranian Judiciary

Qezavat Online
February 28, 2018
Official document

As a judge, I swear to Almighty God on the Great Koran and before the people of Iran, that I shall follow the paths of Islam's Revered Messanger and the Virtuous [Shiite] Imams (Peace Be Upon Them), and that, with the assistance of the pure spirits of Islam's Martyrs, I shall defend right and justice; and relying on my human honor and integrity, I pledge that I shall always strive to discover the truth, restore the rights [of those whose rights have been trampled upon], implement Islamic justice, and take from the wrongdoer what he/she has taken [from the victim(s)] and bestow upon those whose rights have been taken away, what's rightfully theirs; and to fulfill my obligations toward and pay my debt to the Islamic Revolution through continuous efforts in my position as a judge on the bench to solidify the principles and foundations of the Islamic Republic and support the Supreme Leader."
