Report
International law does not permit the death penalty for drug-related offences. For the large majority of the countries in the world who have rati ed the key international legal instruments on human rights and on counter-narcotics, they are bound by international standards that do not permit laws that impose the death penalty for drug crimes, nor the practical ways in which the death penalty is applied in most countries in Asia.
