On the occasion of the international day against death penalty in 2015, Abdorrahman Boroumand Foundation(ABF) translated and published and article about the arguments and rationale underlying the vote of the judges of South Africa's Constitutional Court who decided that death penalty was a violation of South Africa's new constitution in 1995. ABF considers that given human beings fallibility, and irremediability of capital punishment, death penalty should be abolished in the world, including in Iran, where as of November 2015 more than 900 individuals were executed after going through a judicial process that violates due process of law and the rights of the accused.
